As a Glia volunteer, you’re part of an international team that is actively designing, testing, and manufacturing medical hardware. Our medical hardware is open-source, and shared freely online. Glia collaborates with Mosaic Medical and Tashkeel Gaza.

Orientation Sessions

A Glia team member can schedule a Zoom meeting with you if you need some help navigating MatterMost channels or any other open source application we use. We want your volunteer experience to enrich you as well as us! In order to book an orientation session, please contact info@glia.org and one of the team members will get back to you.

Get Started with Mattermost

• Go to the Mattermost Sign in page.
• Login to your account page with your username and password. 
• Select “Glia” from the teams page. 
• Complete the Mattermost tutorial (optional).

When you first join Glia, we recommend that you introduce yourself in the Town Square channel. This way, everyone will know who you are when you participate in a project.

Join as many Channels as you like by clicking on the “Find Channel” search bar at the top of the left menu. Feel free to join the channels of the projects that you are interested in contributing to, or any channel you like! Also, it helps to read the history of chats so that you can get your bearings in whatever channel you’re in.

How to change your account password in our Fusion Directory:

• Go to the FusionDirectory sign-in page.
• Login to your account page with your existing username and password. 
• Select “Edit” on the bottom-right corner of the page. 
• Edit your Password, Select “OK” when finished. 
• Click “Sign out” at the top-left side of the page.

Your username and password is the same for Mattermost, Nextcloud and Fusion. This can be found in your onboarding email. 

Nextcloud:

Use Nextcloud to create and share documents, spreadsheets, presentations and more with team members. This is where we store all project documents to be worked on collectively.
