Volunteer Opportunity: Create Engaging Social Media Content

Social Media Content Creator (Volunteer)

Glia is looking for volunteer Social Media Content Creators to help share our work with communities around the world.

In collaboration with our marketing and development teams, you'll transform existing stories, photos, videos, and campaign materials into engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media platforms. Rather than developing campaigns from scratch, you'll help extend the reach of Glia's ongoing initiatives by creating timely, compelling content that informs, inspires, and encourages meaningful engagement.

We're looking for multiple volunteers with a variety of skills and interests. Whether your strengths are graphic design, copywriting, video editing, storytelling, or social media publishing, there's a place for you on the team.

How You Can Contribute

• Create engaging social media posts using existing campaign assets and brand guidelines.
• Adapt photos, videos, articles, and updates into platform-specific content.
• Design graphics, carousels, reels, and short-form videos.
• Write compelling captions that reflect Glia's voice and mission.
• Collaborate with the marketing and development teams to support current initiatives and campaigns.
• Help maintain a consistent and engaging social media presence.
• Share creative ideas that help connect more people with Glia's work.

Helpful skills

You don't need to have every skill listed below—we welcome volunteers with different strengths who are excited to contribute as part of a collaborative team.

• Experience creating content for one or more social media platforms.
• Strong writing, storytelling, or visual communication skills.
• Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design or video editing software.
• An eye for detail and maintaining a consistent brand voice.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.
• A passion for humanitarian work and ethical storytelling.
