Volunteer Opportunity: Glia Ambassador
Community Ambassador (Volunteer)
Glia is looking for volunteer Community Ambassadors to help raise awareness, inspire action, and build support for our humanitarian work around the world.
As a Community Ambassador, you'll help connect your community with Glia's mission by sharing stories, participating in fundraising initiatives, and encouraging others to get involved. Whether through social media, local events, workplace initiatives, or conversations with friends and family, your voice can help expand the reach of our work and inspire meaningful action.
We're looking for multiple volunteers with different experiences, networks, and interests. Whether you're an experienced fundraiser, an active community member, or simply passionate about healthcare equity, we'd love to have you on the team.
How You Can Contribute
- Share Glia's stories, campaigns, and updates through your personal and professional networks.
- Participate in peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns and encourage others to support Glia's work.
- Organize or support community events, presentations, or local fundraising initiatives.
- Introduce Glia to schools, workplaces, faith communities, service clubs, or other organizations.
- Encourage meaningful conversations about healthcare equity and humanitarian action.
- Help build a growing community of supporters who believe healthcare should be accessible to everyone.
Skills That Are Helpful
You don't need fundraising or advocacy experience to become a Community Ambassador. We welcome volunteers with different strengths who are excited to contribute as part of a collaborative team.
Helpful skills and qualities include:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in connecting with people in your community.
- Experience with social media, community organizing, or fundraising is an asset.
- Creativity, initiative, and enthusiasm for building relationships.
- A passion for humanitarian work and a commitment to Glia's mission.
